1. Avoid clothing made with synthetic material and regularly change your underwear

We already know that some synthetic materials, like satin or lace, can be sexy and alluring. The problem is that they don’t allow your skin to breathe properly, which can sometimes lead to bad vaginal odor.

Now, we’re not telling you to stop using these items forever. What you can do is use them for special occasions, but avoid them for the most part.

The healthiest alternative is cotton. In addition to being a lightweight fabric, it’s very comfortable.

You should also change your interior clothing every 12 hours if it’s very hot or if you sweat a lot. If that’s not your case, one change a day is enough.

2. Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil is another recommendable for fighting bad natural odor because it’s anti-fungal and antiseptic. If you’ve started using vaginal deodorants and noticed an unpleasant smell afterwards, swap out those chemicals for this natural element.

This oil restores pH levels and fights off infections.

There are two ways to use it:

  • Add 3 drops of tea tree oil to a cup of water and wash the vaginal area with the mixture. You can repeat this process two times a day.
  • Another option is to mix 4 drops of tea tree oil with 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Dip a tampon in the mixture and insert it, leaving it in for at least an hour. You can repeat the procedure daily for a week.

3. Baking soda

Bad vaginal odor can also come from an imbalanced pH level due to the presence of fungi and bacteria. If that’s your case, using baking soda is a perfect solution because it eliminates both offenders.
